An efficient and effective process for reliability analysis is an indispensable tool for any maintenance organization in achieving a substantial increase in equipment availability. This will be achieved through the definition of proper maintenance strategies, developing the necessary information and analysis processes, and developing personnel with proper role definitions. However, which tools or processes currently exist for identifying areas of opportunity within work management processes? What can local personnel do to perform an effective analysis using only the information within their work order management systems? As long as one has the proper metric definitions and the quality of the information systems is adequate, databases and filtering tables can be used to identify opportunities in work management processes.
